The U.S. Navy has played a role in American freedom throughout all of our live and the countless men and women that have served for our country have not been forgotten. Unfortunately, some of our naval hero’s have been exposed to harmful amounts of asbestos while on duty. Navy Veterans often had direct and indirect exposure from jobs or removal operations, like rip-outs and repairs. Some naval ships still have asbestos. Asbestos can be found in many gaskets, brakes, clutches, and older building materials used in ships.
